11.1.3 Troubleshooting for inverter units
1) Compressor discharging temperature protection

Are stop valves in suction pipe and
liquid pipe of outdoor unit open?

Is discharging temperature detected
by a thermometer too high?
yes
Are high pressure and
low pressure normal?
yes
Air conditioner is
running in bad
condition?
yes
Does indoor fan motor work properly in
heating cycle? Does outdoor fan motor
work properly in cooling cycle?
yes
Is filter or heat exchanger dirty?
no
Is piping twisted or
deformed?
no
Measure equalized pressure and
running pressure to see if the
system is overfed or starved. Is
there a leak? Is capillary tube
clogged?
Note: This protection feature is not available with all models. In the event that compressor is on and off frequently for no
reason, check if the compressor is provided with discharging temperature protection. The protection is activated when
temperature is higher than 120° C and restored when lower than 100° C.
