device. To disinfect the protective cap, soak it in
70 % - 75 % cleaning alcohol for 10 minutes once
a week after cleaning. Leave the cap to dry thorough-
ly after disinfecting.

6.3 Guidelines / Standards

Electromagnetic compatibility:
The system complies with the EN 60601-1-2 standard
for electromagnetic compatibility.

The monitor is certified in accordance with the require-
ments of EU guidelines 98/79 for in vitro diagnostic
devices.
The lancets and lancing device correspond to the
requirements of EC Directive 93/42 for medical products.
The lancets are certified by CE 0297.
