5 Operation
WARNING
Never use a lancet or a lancing device
that belongs to another person.
Use a new sterile lancet for each test.
Lancets are intended to be used only
once.
Used test strips and lancets are
considered hazardous, biological non-
biodegradable waste.
Dispose of them taking into account
that they are capable of spreading
infection.
Dispose of the lancets so that there is
no risk of injury or infection to other
people.
5.2.3 Identifying the blood glucose value
with blood from the finger tip
WARNING
Before performing a blood glucose test
and before using the lancing device and
the blood glucose test strips, make sure
you read section 2 on the safety
instructions carefully (pages 7 - 15)!
Note that the monitor is not suitable for
diagnosing diabetes or for testing the
blood glucose levels of newborn babies.
