5.2.9 Evaluating a test result

The GlucoDock blood glucose test strips work based
on plasma and are calibrated to easily compare with
laboratory test results. The normal average blood
glucose reading of an adult without diabetes is
between 3.9 and 6.7 mmol/L (70 -120 mg/dL). The
blood glucose level of an adult without diabetes two
hours after a meal is less than 7.8 mmol/L (140 mg/dL).
WARNING
For those with diabetes:
consult your doctor about the range of
blood glucose level valid for you.

5.2.10 Unusual test results

If your test result is not what you expected, proceed as
follows:
1. Perform a control test, see section 5.1.2 Performing
a test with control solution, page 23 onwards.
2. Repeat the blood glucose test, see section 5.2.3
"Identifying the blood glucose value with blood
from the finger tip", page 31 onwards.
3. If your test result is still not what you think it should
be, consult your doctor immediately.
NOTES
• Extremely high humidity can affect the test
results. A relative humidity of more than
90% can cause incorrect readings.
