Chapter 3. Input/output ports and connectors

Your server has the following input/output (I/O) connectors:
v One auxiliary-device (pointing-device)
v Two Ethernet
v One keyboard
v One serial
v Four Universal Serial Bus (USB) (two front, two rear)
v One video
The following illustration shows the locations of these connectors on the front of the
server.
The following illustration shows the locations of these connectors on the rear of the
server.
The following sections describe these connectors.

Auxiliary-device connector

Use this connector to connect a mouse or other pointing device. The following
illustration shows an auxiliary-device connector.

Ethernet connectors

The following illustration shows an Ethernet connector.
Connect a Category 3, 4, or 5 unshielded twisted-pair cable to this connector. The
100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Fast Ethernet standard requires Category 5 or higher
cabling.
