Battery

The AlphaTRAK™ Meter comes with one pre-installed #2032, 3 volt
lithium battery . The battery provides enough power to perform about
1,000 tests . When the battery runs low, the battery symbol
(
) appears on every display screen until the battery is changed .
Important: When this symbol appears, replace the battery immediately.
• To avoid losing the time and date settings, replace the battery
within one minute of removing the old battery .
• If it takes more than one minute to replace the battery, time and
date may require resetting to get the correct 14-day average . If
the time and date settings are lost and not reset, new test results
will be stored in memory with a time of 12:00 a .m . (00:00) and a
date of 00-00 .
• Removing the battery does not affect the meter's memory log
or previously-stored user settings (such as calibration code, and
date format) .
• If the time and date settings are lost, a blood glucose test can be
performed and results will not be affected .
