Scan Settings Dialog Box (Stack of Documents (ADF))
The Scan Settings dialog box opens when you click Specify... in the Scan/Import window.
In the Scan Settings dialog box, you can make advanced scan settings.
Document Type
Select the type of document to be scanned.
When scanning one side of each document: Color Document(Simplex), Black and White
Document(Simplex) or Text(Simplex)
When scanning both sides of each document: Color Document(Duplex), Black and White
Document(Duplex) or Text(Duplex)
Automatic Duplex Scanning
Select this checkbox, then scan from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) to scan both sides of the
documents automatically. This function is available when a duplex type is selected for Document Type.
Output Settings...
Specify how to output the paper when scanning both sides from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) with
the Automatic Duplex Scanning checkbox selected.
Click Output Settings... to open the Output Settings dialog box in which you can select Output by back/
front (Fast) or Output by page. Output by back/front (Fast) is selected by default.
Output by back/front(Fast)
This is preferred when speed is required, as the documents are output in the back-to-front order.
To output the documents in the correct page order, select Output by page.
Output by page
Outputs the scanned documents in the correct page order.
Document Size
Select the size of the document to be scanned.
When scanning both sides of the documents automatically, select A4 or Letter.
Orientation...
Specify the orientation and stapling side of the documents to be scanned.
