You can select if the PIN of the SIM card is
necessary to switch the telephone on. Some
SIM card providers do not allow disabling the
PIN.
1. Press Menu, go to Settings and press OK.
2. Select Security settings and press OK.
3. Select SIM security and press OK.
4. Select PIN lock and press On (left softkey
).
5. Enter the PIN of your SIM card and press
OK.
6. The following message informs you if the
PIN must be entered (Locked) or not
(Unlock).
Change PIN
You can change the PIN for your SIM card. For
this you need the old PIN, which you received
with the documentation for your SIM card.
1. Press Menu, go to Settings and press OK.
2. Select Security settings and press OK.
3. Select SIM security and press OK.
4. Select Change PIN and press OK.
5. Enter the old PIN of your SIM card and
press OK.
