After entering the fourth digit (within 20
seconds), the CD Changer starts working. If
a wrong code is entered, the radio sounds
a beep, the display shows the words "CDC
CODE" for 2 seconds and then four dash-
es "- - - -" to warn the user that it is neces-
sary to enter the correct code.
If a wrong code is entered for three con-
secutive times the display will show the
words "CDC WAIT". During the timeout
(1 hour) the sound system can however be
used and it is possible to select another
sound source or to turn the sound system
off.
If another sound source is selected it will
be possible to start the new code entry pro-
cedure after 1 hour. The timeout will start
from 1 hour again if the sound system has
been turned off.
When timeout is over if the sound system
is in CD Changer mode the display will show
the words "CDC CODE" for 2 seconds and
it will be possible to start the new code en-
try procedure. If the sound system is not in
CD Changer mode, no message will be dis-
played. Select CD Changer, the display will
show the words "CDC CODE" for 2 sec-
onds: now the new code entry procedure
can be started.
Selecting the CD-Changer
To turn on the CD-Changer, turn on the set,
then press briefly and repeatedly the "SRC"
button (6) to select the "CHANGER"

Possible error messages
If the loader is not inserted in the CD-
Changer, the display will show the wording
"CHANGER".
If the loader does not contain any Com-
pact Discs, the display will show the word-
ing "NO CD". If at least one CD is found,
it will be played.
If the CD played is illegible, the next CD
will be selected; if there are no other CDs or
if they are also illegible, the display will
show the wording "NO CD" until the lis-
tening source is changed.

from the start of the track (e.g. "03:14"
= 3 minutes and 14 seconds) or the num-

03" = third Compact Disc) depending on
the function selected in the Menu.
In the event of a CD-Changer fault or dif-
ficulty in removing the loader, the display
