Putting the telephone into service

Step 1: Connecting the base station
First of all, connect your base station to the telephone jack
and the mains supply.

• Insert the round plug of the mains cable into the jack.
• Lay the cable in the channel provided (to prevent over-
tensioning).
• Plug the power supply unit into the power socket.
• Plug the square connector of the phone cable supplied
into the jack.
• Lay the cable in the channel.
• Plug the phone connector into the phone socket.
* Appearance may differ, depending on country!
If you do not want to use the telephone cable supplied,
ensure that you use either a simple extension cable or a
telephone cable with 3/4 connector assignment, otherwise
your Gigaset A100 will not function correctly.
