Replace gears

Fit cutting head into cabinet.

MODELS 250-S3, S4, 1150-S3, 1250-S3, S4
Removal
1.
Remove top cover, cutting head, auto start sensors, motor and gears as described in sections
1,2,4,5 and 6, remembering to note gear meshing arrangements.
2.
Remove rear, lower, tie bar.
3.
Remove all pop rivets from the two side frame assemblies.
4.
Support the assembly on its end, 'bearing end' down.
5.
Unfasten all bolts securing tie bars (Stripper support bars).
6.
First, move away the 'motor end' side frame (with bearings) from
its locations on the tabs of the bin full flap, safety flap (not 250 series) and paper feed chutes.
Second, remove the side frame away from the cutting shafts themselves, tapping with a soft
hammer as necessary.
7.
Lift out the bin full flap, taking care not to strain or damage the plastic safety flap, still
located (not MODELS 250)
8.
Lift out the feed chute assembly with safety flap.
9.
Holding the cutter shaft assembly together, remove the 'bearing end' side frame fron the
cutting shaft.
10.
If needed for access to damage, carefully split the two cutter blocks apart, maintaining
strippers in their grooves.
