When save destination is the microSD Card, still pictures are saved in
the [Camerafolder xxx] ("xxx" is the largest number when multiple
folders exist), and moving pictures are saved in the [Camerafolder].
When the number of still pictures or moving pictures saved in the folder
exceeds 1,000, a new folder is automatically created, and still pictures
or moving pictures are saved in the new folder. The microSD Card used
on a PC or other devices cannot be used for saving unless the manager
information is updated (nP. 350).
When saving to a microSD Card, images are saved in DCF1.0
(ExifVer.2.2, JPEG) format.
• "DCF" (Design rule for Camera File system) is a standard created
mainly by JEITA (Japan Electronics and Information Technology
Industries Association) for images from digital cameras and other
devices to be shared with related devices. However, DCF standard
does not guarantee the entire compatibility of all devices.
• "Exif" is a file format established by JEITA (Japan Electronics and
Information Technology Industries Association) for adding
supplementary information to the still picture.
