2nd gear (if necessary, first loosen bowden cables at
their tensioners).

Put control twist g r i p into the position corresponding
to the engaged gear.
% Tension bowden cables uniformly (by means of the
setscrew or by displacing the supporting shackle).
% Both cable casings should have an equal axial play
(measured at the tensioners) of about 1 mm.
Some models present an a d d i t i o n a l adjusting facility in
the form of setscrew at the gear change control twist
grip. Do not use these setscrew however when wishing
to operate a new adjustment, but only for
eliminating
a too w i d e p l a y ; proceed as described above.
