  • Page 3 Operating the Crane Car urn the two control wheels on the side of the cab to raise and lower the boom, pulley block, and the hooks. The wheel towards the rear of the cab controls the boom. The wheel towards the front controls the hooks.
  • Page 4 Extending the jack stand our Crane Car features a jack stand that can slide out to either side of the car. To extend the jack stand, simply push the jack stand out through the car or slide the post along the slot on the bottom of the car.
  • Page 5 Uncoupling your Crane Car our Crane Car is equipped with two operating couplers. Push up on the uncoupling weight located directly under the coupler to open the coupler. To couple two cars together, place them on the track with at least one of the mating couplers open, then slide them together. The couplers will close automatically.
  • Page 6 Stringing the pulleys or proper operation, the strings should run through the groove of each pulley. The string that controls the hooks is attached to the forward shaft inside the cab. As illustrated in Figure 3, it runs down over the post on the boom, up though the pulley on the first hook, down through pulley on the boom, and up through the pulley on the second hook.
