A. ASAP II SEATING ADJUSTMENT
Please refer to the ASAP Seating Adjustment Guide for details on how to adjust the seat
depth, seat width, armrest height and backrest angle.
Seat-to-floor height and Pre-tilt (Figs. 1,2,3)
Seat-to-Floor Height and Pre-tilt positioning are accomplished using 4 adjustable posts.
There are 5 holes in the rear posts and 6 holes in the front posts; each post spaced 1" apart.
Moving the posts together will allow the seat-to-floor height to be adjusted. Increasing the
front post height independent from the rear posts provide seating pre-tilt positioning as well
as affect seat-to-floor height. Use the following instructions to achieve desired pre-tilt angles.
• For 0º pre-tilt use hole positioning number that is equal front to rear. Leave the packer
in the 1st hole. (Example front hole 1, rear hole A, Packer 1st hole)
• For 3º pre-tilt raise the front posts one hole higher than the rear position. Leave the
packer in the 1st hole. (Example front hole 2, rear hole A, Packer 1st hole)
• For 6º pre-tilt raise the front posts 2 holes higher than the rear position. Leave the
packer in the 1st hole. (Example front hole 3, rear hole A, Packer 1st hole)
• For 9º pre-tilt raise the front posts 3 holes higher than the rear position. Move the
packer to the 2nd hole. (Example front hole 3, rear hole A, Packer 2nd hole.)
NOTE–
For chairs configured with SPOT tilt, do not increase the Pre-tilt greater than 3º.
For chairs configured with seat elevator, do not increase the pre-tilt greater than 0º.
For chairs configured with SPOT tilt and seat elevator do not increase the seat-to-floor height
greater than 1" from lowest position.
B. SEAT PAN AND BACK SIZE ADJUSTMENTS
Your ASAP II seating system can be adjusted to a wide range of widths and depths to accom-
modate specific user needs. Seating dimensions should only be altered by a trained profes-
sional and may require new seat cushions. Please refer to the QM-710/715HD/720 Service
Manual for more detailed instructions on how to customize the size of your seat.

SEATING SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT

A. MANUAL RECLINE OPERATION
The ASAP II seating system has two manual recline options. The first is using a 16mm socket
wrench and the second can be done by turning a knob on the side of the chair (Figure 4). To
recline the chair, rotate this knob clockwise and turn the knob counter-clockwise to return
the back to a more upright position.
B. POWER RECLINE, TILT & LIFT OPERATION
The power recline, tilt and lift features on your chair can all be operated using the joystick on
your chair. Follow the instructions below to operate:
1. Make sure your controller is on.
2. From the Drive Mode, press the Mode button to enter Power Seating Mode.
3. Move the joystick left or right selecting the power option (recline, tilt, lift, legrests) you
wish to control.
4. Move the joystick forward or backward to adjust the selected power option to the
desired position.
5. Press the Mode button to return to normal operation or continue moving the joystick
