G26 CHECK CIRCUIT 411 (BK/LB) FOR OPEN
PINPOINT TEST H: THE WIPERS WILL NOT PARK AT THE CORRECT POSITION — REAR
NOTE: Complete the entire Pinpoint Test related to the symptom before replacing the GEM.
CONDITIONS
H1 RETRIEVE THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
Scan Tool
Retrieve and Document Continuous DTCs
Clear Continuous DTCs
On-Demand Self-Test
Rear Wiper Self-Test
H2 CHECK THE PID R_WP_PK

Yes
GO to G26.
No
REPAIR Circuit 410 (W/O). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
Measure the resistance between rear wiper down relay connector Pin 3, Circuit 411 (BK/LB)
and rear wiper motor C447, Circuit 411 (BK/LB).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
REPLACE the rear wiper motor; REFER to
system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR Circuit 411 (BK/LB). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes
If DTC B1839, GO to
H2
.
If DTC B1342, REPLACE the GEM; REFER to
system for normal operation.
No
GO to H2.
NOTE: The PID R_WP_PK should indicate PARKED when at the high limit of travel and at
