5. Drain the system.
6. Flush the system thoroughly with fresh water.
7. Fill the system with fresh water.
To remove excessive chlorine taste or odor which
might remain in the system, prepare a solution of
one quart vinegar to five gallons water and allow this
solution to agitate in the tank for several days during
boating. Then drain tank and refill with fresh water.
Cockpit sinks are available on certain SL series mod-
els. If equipped, these sinks have traps and the water
will drain slowly. If the system is not operat ing prop-
erly, have it checked by your authorized Four Winns
dealer.

FRESH WATER SYSTEMS

The fresh water switch is typically located on the battery
switch panel. See Figure J2. After the tank has been
filled, activate the "FRESH WATER" switch (activates
the pump) until water comes out of the aft shower or sink
faucet (if applicable). After all the air has been purged
from the system and a steady flow of water is coming
from the aft shower or faucet. Turn off the shower or fau-
cet. The excess water from the sink will drain overboard.

When properly primed and activated, the pressurized
water system can be used in the same manner as the
water system in a home. An automatic pressure sen-
sor in the water pump keeps the system pressurized.
Sim ply operate the faucet and water will be delivered
with the "FRESH WATER" switch activated. Turn the
"FRESH WATER" switch "OFF" when not on use.

NOTICE
If the line is routed improperly, kinked or is
dislo cated, the water pump may not operate
properly. Inspect and correct the hose routing
(if neces sary). If a prob lem still exists, con tact
your Four Winns dealer for assis tance.
NOTICE
DO NOT operate the pump with an empty tank.
Damage to the water pump may result. Be sure
the pump switch is off when not in use.
A. Cockpit Sink & Faucet
Certain SL models can be equipped with a cockpit
sink. The sink and faucet are installed in the starboard
side coaming pad. On other SL models the sink and
faucet folds out from the starboard coaming pad The
faucet can be folded-down out of the way when not in
use. The switch to operate the fresh water system is
locat ed on the battery switch panel. The same fresh
water pump is utilized by both the cockpit sink and aft
shower. See Figures J2 , J3 & J4.
