When measuring thin materials (e.g. paper), the measurement must
be effected on a staple of same material. This will assure accurate and
repeatable measurements independent on the surface the material is
placed.
Alternatively, you may place the sample to be measured on a white
surface corresponding to ISO 13655-2009 white backing specifications.
