In daylight (outdoors) always work with laser
viewfinder. If necessary, shade the target.
Increased ranges:
At night, at dusk and when target area is in
the shade.
Reduced range:
The range of the DISTO can be reduced by
matt, green and blue surfaces (also by trees
or plants)
On a rough surface (e.g. coarse plaster) a
mean value is indicated.
To avoid measuring to the bottom of plaster
joints:
Use target plate, 3M "Post-it" or board.
When aiming through panes of
glass, or if there are several
objects in the line of sight,
erroneous measurements can
occur.
