CARBURETOR SYNCHRONIZATION

CARBURETOR SYNCHRONIZATION
NOTE:
Valve clearance and idling speed should be ad-
justed properly before synchronizing the carbure-
tors.
1. Place the motorcycle on a level surface.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on its centerstand if a cen-
terstand is equipped. If not, place a suitable stand
under the motorcycle.
2. Remove:
S Side cowling
S Seat
S Side cover
S Fuel tank
Refer to "COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COVER
AND FUEL TANK".
3. Remove:
S Vacuum hose 1 (#1 carburetor) 1
S Vacuum hose 2 (#2 carburetor) 2
4. Attach:
S Adapters
S Vacuum gauge 1
S Engine tachometer 2
(to #1 spark plug lead)
Vacuum gauge:
90890-03094
Engine tachometer:
90890-03113
5. Start the engine and let it warm up for several
minutes.
6. Check:
S Engine idling speed
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Refer to "ENGINE IDLING SPEED ADJUST-
MENT".
Engine idling speed:
1,050 X 1,250 r/min
