4.8 CC Waveform Position Menu

DV2000 allows you to adjust the location of the closed caption waveform with respect to the
timing reference code embedded in line 21. The factory default positions the waveform in
exactly the correct location per the recommended practice. In general, you should never set
the waveform position to anything other than
the factory default. However, there may be one
case where you need to adjust the timing of the
line 21 waveform: some digital component
video-to-analog video converters insert the
reconstructed horizontal interval in an arbitrary
location with respect to the embedded timing
reference codes. If you are using such a
converter to derive analog video from the
DV2000 program outputs, you may need to
adjust the timing of the line 21 waveform.
