3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Front panel controls, indicators

Power on/off switch.
Reset. The DV2000 contains a reset button which is recessed inside the front panel.
Pushing this button will cause the DV2000 to perform a power-on reset.
Program Video LED. Illuminates when DV2000 detects proper incoming video.
Monitor Video LED. Illuminates when DV2000 detects monitor video.
Data In LED. Illuminates when DV2000 detects data at its RS-232, modem, or USB
inputs.
Time code LED. Illuminates when LTC time code is detected.
Hard Disk LED. Illuminates when DV2000 reads or writes from its hard drive.
Setup LED. The red Setup LED illuminates when you are in setup mode. In setup mode,
on-screen menus are displayed on the decoder monitor.
Floppy Drive. The DV2000 can read caption, subtitle, script, or graphics files via this
drive. Also, DV2000 system software may be upgraded from this drive. DV2000's
equipped with the optional character generator come with an LS-120 SuperDrive which
can read 120 MByte disks as well as 3
Cursor keys. Press

selections.
Filter grill. The filter element should be washed
or replaced every six months—sooner if your
installation is particularly dusty.
