Low Fuel Indicator
LOW FUEL INDICATOR
This indicator is located in the fuel
gauge. It comes on as a reminder
that you must refuel soon.
When the indicator comes on, there
is about 8.5 (2.25 US gal, 1.87 Imp
gal) of fuel remaining in the tank
before the reading reaches 0. There
is a small reserve of fuel remaining
in the tank when the reading does
reach 0.
On diesel models
Refer to Priming the Fuel System
on page 284 if your vehicle runs out
of fuel.
Instrument Panel Indicators
Glow Plugs Indicator
(On diesel models)
This indicator comes on for a few
seconds when you turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. When
the engine is cold, wait for the
indicator to go off before starting the
engine.
If this indicator blinks while the
engine is running, there is a problem
in the engine control system. This
indicator may also blink when you
restart the engine after your vehicle
has run out of fuel. For more
