GETTING STARTED
Problem
1. The WorldCommunicator
display does not light up
2. The access PIN code
appears to be invalid
3. The WorldCommunicator
cannot find the satellite:

Probable cause
The Modem Unit is not
turned ON
The battery needs
recharging
The battery is not inserted
properly, or contacts dirty
or damaged
The code may have been
changed.
No or weak signals
Faulty or no power

TROUBLESHOOTING

Action
• Press the -key for 2 seconds.
• If needed, connect the universal adapter for
powering/charging.
• Check the battery.
• The access Phone PIN is reset to the default
code by logging in as owner:
+ owner's password

Note! The SIM card can only be unblocked using
a PUK code (Pin Unblock Key). Contact the Net
service provider to obtain the PUK if lost.
• Check for correct position of the antenna.
Check that no obstacles block the free sight to
the satellite.
• Be aware that a window glass may reduce the
signal level significantly.
The signal strength indicator should preferably
exceed 420 (4.8 kbps), or 520 (64 kbps).
• Check that the coax cable is connected properly.
• If accessible, try another antenna unit.
• Turn off power and disconnect power
cable/battery.
• Connect power cable/battery, and switch on
again.
