GETTING STARTED

Enabling/disabling the DECT base station

In some cases it may be desirable to turn off the
DECT base station:
• In countries that do not permit the use of the
particular DECT phone frequencies.
• In order to save battery capacity.
The Enable/Disable DECT function switches the
built-in DECT On/Off.
When the base station is off, the DECT handsets
cannot be operated.
Note!
The function is initially used to register the first
DECT handset, see "Linking the first DECT hand-
set to the WorldCommunicator DECT base
station".
Procedure:

Press on the WorldCommunicator to enter
the MENU, and scroll down to Enable DECT
(or Disable DECT if initially On).

Pressing "right arrow" turns On (or Off) the DECT
base station.

If enabling the base station, the
WorldCommunicator responds with "On".
The display also shows how many handsets have
been registered.
