Shooting in Scene Mode

Note on Scene Auto Selector Mode
Depending upon shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired scene mode. Should
this occur, switch to auto mode ([D22) or choose the desired scene mode manually (0]35).

Flash Mode in Scene Auto Selector Mode
tRUTO
(auto) (default setting) and
®
(off) flash mode settings ([I]30) can be applied.
• When
tRUTO
(auto) is applied, the camera automatically chooses the optimum flash mode setting
for the scene mode it has selected.
• When
®
(off) is applied, the flash does not fire, regardless of shooting conditions.

Functions Restricted in Scene Auto Selector Mode
• Digital zoom is not available.
• The macro
mode
button on the rotary multi selector cannot
be
used (CD 10,33).
• Even if

(portrait) is selected, the smile indicator (CD36) is not displayed.
• The AF area mode setting (CD11 0) is set to Auto in

(close-up) mode.
