Battery

The battery is positioned in the passenger
compartment, behind the passenger
footrest.
The vehicle is equipped with a sealed
lead acid battery that does not require
maintenance.
The battery does not need refilling
with distilled water or sulphuric acid.
• To access the battery, undo the two
screws A under the floor mat at the top
of the passenger footrest panel.

• Remove the panel slipping it off the
lower pins.
Periodically check that the terminals are
clean and firmly secured.
Visually inspect the outer casing for any
cracks.
If the battery is overcharged, it will wear
out quickly.
Have the electrical system of the vehicle
checked if the battery tends to discharge easily.
• To remove the battery from the vehicle,
disconnect it from the electric system
using the battery master switch.
• Detach the terminals from the battery
posts.
• Remove it from the retaining bracket by
undoing the two nuts B.
• Detach the breather pipe C from the
outside of the battery.

• Remove the battery from the passenger
compartment.
Keep the battery away from sources
of heat and do not use open flames
or create sparks near it.
Battery posts, terminals and related
accessories contain lead and lead
compounds. Wash your hands after
handling.
5 - Maintenance
Ventilation hose: The battery generates
hydrogen gas, which is flammable and
explosive. The battery is fitted with a
ventilation hose which vents hydrogen gas
out of the battery compartment through a
ventilation opening in the bottom of this
compartment. If the battery must be replaced,
it is essential that the ventilation hose is
properly connected to the battery and that
it is routed through the ventilation opening
provided.
Be sure the ventilation hose is free of the
debris. Only use replacement batteries
equipped with a ventilation hose. Contact
your Authorized Ferrari Dealer .
