If IS NET has not been added to your product,
packet communication will be performed using
au.NET, and a communication charge of 525
yen (tax inclusive) will apply only for the month
during which use occurred.
Using a data communication
service (packet communication)
Connecting to the Internet via packet
communication on this product is simple
and easy by using 'IS NET' or 'au.NET'.
The necessary settings for Internet access
through IS NET or au.NET are preset in this
product, so when you start any application
requiring Internet access, the product
automatically performs communication.

Internet connection and LAN connection can
be performed using packet communication
with maximum data rate of 3.1 Mbps for
receive and 1.8 Mbps for send. 40 Mbps
maximum downstream and 15.4 Mbps
maximum upstream WiMAX high-speed
wireless data communication standard support
enables use in CDMA areas as well as WiMAX
areas (
P. 119).
Note that communication environment conditions can
result in data rates that are lower than the maximum
values.
Subscribers to packet flat rate/discount
services such as IS Flat can use flat-rate
Internet access. For information on IS NET,
au.NET and packet flat rate/discount services,
refer to the latest au general catalog and/or au
homepage.
