Insert the mounting bolts and thread on the nuts.

Using a 1/4" hex bit to keep the mounting bolts from
turning, tighten the nuts to specification with a 9/16"
socket and torque wrench.
Lower the motorcycle to the floor and remove the lift.
Apply blue threadlock to the three battery box mounting
screws. Place the battery box in position on the frame
and install the screws. Secure the wiring harness in
position against the battery box using new tie straps.
Install the battery following the procedures under
CHARGING SYSTEM SERVICE.
Install the rear fender, saddlebag brackets, rear engine
guard, saddlebags and seat following the procedures in
the FRAME AND ACCESSORIES SERVICE section.
