The following instructions explain how to install a
3400 Twinax Adapter Card into a 3400 printer and are
intended to be performed by trained service personnel
only.
Parts Provided:
• Twinax Adapter Card
• Ribbon cable
• Guide rail
Step 1
Install the Guide Rail
1. Switch off the printer power and remove the power
cord from the printer.
2. Remove the media cover and the electronics cover
from the printer.
3. Remove and discard the I/O port cover from the
rear of the printer. Retain the two screws.
4. Press the tabs of the guide rail into the mounting
holes on the heat sink by using your hands or a pair
of slip-joint pliers.
Tools Required:
• Phillips screwdriver
• Slip-joint pliers
