Engine Oil & Filter - Honda ARX1500T3DX Owner's Manual

This model is equipped with a dry sump
engine.
The oil in the oil tank drains to the engine
crankcase after the engine is stopped.
Engine Oil & Filter
The engine must be warmed-up (page 168)
and then turned off to get a correct reading of
the oil level.
The dry sump engine oil drains from the oil tank
to the engine crankcase over time. Therefore, the
oil level in the oil tank will drop (lower) over
time when the PWC is stored. Also, the oil level
in the oil tank does not lower immediately after
warming up and stopping the engine.
Oil level with the engine stopped right after
warming up.
