11.4.1 Device Alert Notification
When a Samsung MFP experiences an event that needs your attention such as, out of paper or low toner, the MFP can
send you an e-mail.
This feature requires the following settings in the MFP to be configured:
•
SMTP server
•
E-mail addresses
•
Event thresholds.
Events can include the following:
•
Firmware upgrades
•
User password expiration
•
System errors.
Example of E-mail notification workflow:
11.4.2 Device Status Notification
Device status can be notified to Administrator by E-mail periodically. Device status includes the following:
•
Configuration Report
•
Counter Information Report
•
E-mail Sent Report
•
Fax Sent Report
•
Network Accounting Report
•
Standard Accounting Usage Report
•
Standard Accounting Remain Report
And you can specify notification period as:
•
Every page
•
Daily
•
Weekly
•
Monthly
•
Or every 100 to10000 pages.
