Does the Following
Suspend VCR
Displays when you have set a VCR timer. A suspended
Timer
timer does not activate at the designated time, but the
timer remains on the list and can be resumed with minimal
effort.
Resume VCR
Displays when you have suspended your VCR timer. Select
Timer
this option to reactivate all occurrences of this timer (This
Instance, Daily, Weekly, M-F, Sa-Su).
Clear VCR
Displays when you have set any VCR timer. Select this
Timer
option to cancel all occurrences of this timer.
Reset VCR
Displays when you have set any VCR timer. Select this
Timer
option to change the occurrence parameters of your timer.
Note: View Channel Now always displays when non-PPV programs are selected from the program
guide. This allows you to simply select the channel without impact to any timers.
Once you have made your choice from the available options or if you have adjusted or changed a
timer, a symbol or color displays reflecting the change in the program guide.
You can also cancel, suspend, reset or resume timers from the Settings menu. For information on that
procedure, refer to Reviewing, Modifying, and Canceling Timers, page 74.

Suspending Non-PPV Timers

Suspending timers permits you to resolve overlaps and yet maintain a timer that you have set in case
you decide to resume the timer. The timer remains on the timer list until the time has passed or until
it is cleared. If you wish to resume the timer, see the procedure Resetting/Resuming Non-PPV
Timers, page 46.
