Viewing Favorite Channels

Passport DCT lets you specify favorite channels. You can do this in the Settings menu with the
Favorite Channels preference. Once you specify favorite channels, you can cycle through them easily
at the touch of one remote button. The procedure below describes how you do this. For information
about specifying favorite channels, refer to Adding and Removing Channels From the Favorite
Channels List on page 68.
To view favorite channels
Press the FAV button to view the next favorite channel. The settop displays the favorite channels in
ascending order. For example, your favorite channels are 7, 11, 26, and 30. You are currently viewing
channel 13. When you press the FAV button, the settop displays channel 26.
Note: Pressing the FAV button in the program guide does not display the next favorite channel; instead it
scrolls the program guide to the information for the next favorite channel.
Selecting a Channel Shown in the Channel Banner Browse
Passport DCT includes the channel banner to provide quick access to information about the
program's title, rating, start, and end times. When the channel banner first displays, it shows
information about the current channel and program. From here, you can "browse" the channel
banner. This allows you to continue watching the current program while checking program
information for other channels and other times. You can also select a channel shown in the channel
banner as described in this section. For more information about browsing the channel banner, refer
to Browsing Program Information With the Channel Banner on page 20.
