7 If the recording started, you receive another message indicating that your setup is now
complete.
8 Press the EXIT button to exit the Settings menu.
Note: In the event that Passport DCT is unable to complete the setup of the VCR, you will see a message.

Starting Your VCR on Impulse

• Be sure that your VCR is turned on.
• Be sure that there is a recordable blank tape in your VCR. If you are reusing a tape, be sure that
the record tabs have not been removed.
• You must have completed the previous procedure and your VCR must have been setup.
• Make sure that a scheduled timer has not been set for the same time that you want to impulse
record. If so, you are not able to record; the scheduled timers and PPV purchases always take
precedence over an impulse recording.
Starting your VCR
1 Using your settop remote, press the REC button to start recording. Make sure that the remote
is set for CABLE.
• If you have setup your VCR Controller, the following display appears.
