Using a Commercially Available Telephone
Answering a trunk call

A trunk call is received.

Lift the handset.
Talk to the person who is calling you.
If the telephone does not ring
OTE
You cannot answer a trunk call just by lifting the
handset. For details, contact your distributor.

Answering an intercom call

An intercom call is received.

Lift the handset.
Talk to the person who is calling you.

Holding a call

1
You are on the conversation.
2
Quickly press and then release the
hook switch.
If your telephone has a hook key, press that
key.
The call is now held.
Quickly press and then release the hook
OTE
switch.
If you hold down the hook switch too long, the
call will be disconnected.
In the hold status
To prevent a call from being left on hold:
• After the handset is replaced, the telephone will
ring until the hold status is released.
