Table DD lists the vent terminals that are approved for these heaters by model and application.
SPECIAL GAS VENT ADAPTER KIT INSTALLATION:
A vent adapter must be installed to the heater exhaust outlet. The vent adapter is available from Hayward
and must be installed without modification. The necessary components are contained in the vent adapter kit
listed in Table BB. See Figure EE for components that are affected for an indoor installation. All other vent-
ing components (piping, terminals) are available from Heatfab.
The installation of the vent adapter is as follows:
1. Remove the screws that fasten the flue cover to the heater. Save the screws, as you will reuse them
later. Remove the flue cover.
. Remove the screws that fasten the heat barrier to the heater. Remove the heat barrier. Do not install
the vent adapter with the heat barrier in place.
. Using the high temperature sealant supplied in the vent kit, seal the rectangular drain slots at the
back of the flue collector.
4. Reuse the screws that secured the flue cover to attach the vent adapter to the heater. Be sure the
white gasket strips are in place on the underside of the vent adapter before installing the screws.
