can adversely effect the safety and functionality of the equipment creating a risk to users. • Be sure that all warning stickers and instructional placards applied to the product stay
present and in good condition when doing maintenance or replacing components. If necessary request replacement warning stickers or placards from Nautilus
• Do not try to change the design or functionality of the machine being serviced as this can adversely effect user safety. • Do not put the machine back in service until all shrouds,
instructions, warning labels and correct functionality have been verified and tested for correct performance.

Care of the Mobia™ Fitness Machine

Read all maintenance instructions fully before you start any repair work. In some conditions, an assistant is necessary to do the necessary tasks.
Equipment must be regularly examined for damage and repairs. The owner is responsible to make sure that regular maintenance is done. Worn or damaged components must
be replaced immediately or the equipment removed from service until the repair is made. Only manufacturer supplied components can be used to maintain and repair the
equipment.
This product, its packaging, and components contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. This Notice is provided in

Daily:
Before each use, inspect for loose, broken, damaged, or worn parts. Do not use the machine if any of these conditions exist. Use a dry cloth to wipe off any perspiration
after each use.
Weekly: Check for smooth roller operation. Clean the machine to remove dust, dirt, or grime. Clean the top of the belt with a damp, soapy cloth and wipe carefully and thoroughly
with a dry cloth. Do not let any liquid below the belts or into the Base Frame.
Monthly: Make sure all bolts and screws are tight. Tighten if necessary.
NOTICE: Do not clean with a petroleum based solvent or an automotive cleaner. Be sure to keep the Console free of moisture.

For the best results lubricate the Treadles periodically with a silicone lubricant, using the following instructions: 1.

  • Page 4 5.3 Walking technique When walking on the Mobia it is important to adjust the belt speed to match your walking speed. Do not attempt to drive the belt speed up with your feet.

    11.2 Electromagnetic interference Turn off any television, AM radio, microwave, or computer within 6 feet (2 meters) of the Mobia™ fitness machine. Try positioning the machine in another area. 11.3 Chest strap transmitter Test chest strap with another HR monitoring device such as HR watch or a machine at a gym.

The error code will be displayed as shown below. If Engineering assistance is recommended contact Customer Care.

  • Page 9 7. Slide both Bar Covers to the Upper Hand Bars and tape them there. 8. Remove the 4 bolts indicated from the Rear Upright Support Bracket using a 4mm hex wrench and remove it. 9. Remove indicated bolt between right side Upright and right Roller Plate. 10.
  • Page 10 12. Move the Lower Right Hand Bar back until it can be removed, and pull the data cable through tube. 13. Remove right Upper Hand Bar and pull cable through the tube. 14. Remove the 5 indicated screws from Console Access Door using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
  • Page 11 16. Use fingers to remove the Console Data Cable as shown. 17. Guide cable out of the Hand Bar tube while pulling on cable outside. 18. Installation is the reverse of this procedure. If necessary, a flexible wire can be used to help install the data cable through the Hand Bar and upright tubing.   • Page 14 7. Remove the 2 indicated screws using #2 Phillips screwdriver. 8. Pull A/C Panel to side. 9. Remove the indicated ground screw using #2 Phillips screwdriver. 10. Remove the wires from the A/C Inlet, noting their location. 11. Using a #2 Standard screwdriver, press down on the retaining tabs and remove the A/C Inlet.

  • Page 16 7. Zip tie new Belt to Roller Pulley as shown. 8. Wrap belt around Small, Motor Roller. 9. Ensure belt ribs are engaged properly in Large Pulley grooves. 10. Roll the Roller Pulley forward, ensuring belt stays on Small, Motor Roller. 11.

  • Page 18 Be sure the replacement board packaging and use included, prepaid, next day air label to return to Nautilus. This is very important as this board will head be repaired and used to build a second prototype unit for each location prototype unit for each location.

  • Page 20 7. Slide both Bar Covers to the Upper Hand Bars and tape them there. 8. Refer to the Drive Belt removal instructions and remove the Drive Belt. 9. Remove the 4 bolts indicated from the Rear Upright Support Bracket using a 4mm hex wrench and remove it.
  • Page 21 12. Remove the indicated ground screw using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. 13. Remove the 4 Motor mounting nuts, and remove the Motor. 14. Installation is the reverse procedure. Tools Required: #2 Phillips Screwdriver, 13 mm wrench, 5 mm hex head wrench 1.
  • Page 22 5. Remove the 4 indicated screws of the Left Rear Side Cover using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. 6. Slide the Left Rear Side Cover off of the machine. 7. Slide both Bar Covers to the Upper Hand Bars and tape them there. 8.
  • Page 23 10. Remove the 4 screw plugs (R) . 11. Remove the 16 indicated retaining screws(P) from each side using a Phillips screwdriver. 12. Remove the outer Upright Covers by pulling at the center and flexing outward. Set them aside. 13. Remove the lower Cylinder bolt using a 5 mm hex wrench. 14.
  • Page 24 15. Remove the upper Cylinder bolt using a 5 mm hex key and 13 mm wrench. 16. Remove Cylinders. 17. Remove the 4 indicated bolts using a 13 mm wrench. 18. Tilt the Treadle Assembly to the side until the Shock Mounting Post clears the plastic Upright.

    19. Remove the Treadle Assembly from the fitness machine. THIS STEP REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE. Tools Required: #2 Phillips Screwdriver, (2) 13 mm wrenches, 5 mm hex wrench, 10 mm socket 1.
  • Page 26 2. Remove the Drive Pulley using two 13 mm (1/2”) wrenches. 3. Remove the 5 indicated screws on both Side Step plastics using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. 4. Remove the plastic Side Step by pulling it straight off of the Treadle. 5.
  • Page 27 7. Remove the 2 Roller Bracket bolts using two 13 mm wrenches. 8. Remove the Front Roller by sliding it out of the belt. 9. Remove the 2 indicated screws using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. 10. Remove the 4 bolts holding the Treadle Stop on using a 10 mm socket. 11.
  • Page 28 12. Remove the 2 indicated bolts from the Side Bearing Plate using a 5 mm hex wrench. 13. Remove the Side Bearing Plate from the Bearing by hand. 14. Elevate the Treadle slightly and slide the belt off. 15. Installation is the reverse procedure. Follow the same procedure for the op- posite side.

  • Page 31 5. Remove the 2 indicated screws from both sides using a #2 Phillips screwdriver and remove the Belt Guides. 6. Remove the Belt Tensioning Screws and brackets using a 5 mm hex wrench. 7. Remove the 2 Roller Bracket bolts using two 13 mm wrenches. 8.

  • Page 33 4. Remove the 2 indicated bolts from the Side Bearing Plate using a 5 mm hex wrench. 5. Remove the Side Bearing Plate from the Bearing by hand. 6. Invert the Treadle Assembly and remove the 2 indicated screws using a 4 mm hex wrench.
