When turning on the power for the first time, the following items should be set on the System
setup or Alarm setup menus.
•
Own ship's ID
•
Watch receiver frequency band
•
Line out level for DSC signal
•
Transmission key timing
•
Remote control protocol for RT (Radiotelephone) port
•
Remote station function
•
Remote control for NBDP port
•
Detecting DSC signal strength

System Setup

The system setting is necessary after the installation. To prevent accidental transmission of the
distress alert, remove the connector of SSB radiotelephone except when the sailing. This setting
should be entered by a qualified technician. Under no circumstances shall the operator enter
ship's ID.
3.1.1 Opening the System Setup menu
1. Press [SETUP] key to display the Setup menu.
2. Select "SYSTEM" with the cursor pad.
3. Press the [ENT] key to display the System setup menu.
4. Enter a password referring to the FURUNO INFORMATION.
