ooking zone indicators and neon’s Using the ceramic hob Before first use IMPORTA NT: You should clean the ceramic hob surface (see “C leaning and maintenance” section). o Yo u should switch on one cooking zone at a time, for 5 minutes at the maximum setting.

urning on the double hyperspeed zone he double hyperspeed zone has two cooking areas that you can use, central section and an outer section. You can use the central section (A) independently or both sections (B) at once. o Press the cooking z one selection button (2) for the double hyperspeed zone.
o Press the dual circuit ON/OFF button (6). o The dual circuit indicator neon (10) will go out and the outer section will switch off. Using the oval hyperspeed zone The oval hyperspeed zone is controll ed in the same way as the double yperspeed zone.
Residual he at indicator o After a zone is switched off, the corresponding cooking zone indicator (3) will show the letter “H”. This means that the temperature of the zone is over 60°C and is therefore high enough to cause injury.

Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning operation s must only be carried out when the oven is cool. The appliance should be disconnected from yo mains supply before com mencing any cleaning rocess. Cleaning the ceramic hob top Any residues that are left on the hob top surface from cleaning agents will damage it.
Using a cerami c hob scraper Your applian ce will be provided with your appliance. The following guidelines should also be followe d when using the ceramic hob craper:- The scrap er should be placed on the ceramic surface at an angle. Residues should be removed by sliding the blade carefully over the ceramic surface.
nstalling the appliance o Cut a hole in the worktop that corresponds with the drawings shown above. o IMPORTANT: You must have a gap of at least 25 mm betwee the underneath of the appliance and any surface that is below it. Carefully turn the hob upside down and place it on a cushioned mat.

Clip Fixing bracket Screw o You should insert a clip (A) into the holes which are located in each corner of the hob. o Place the fixing brackets (B) over each hole and clip, and then place a screw (C) throug h the hole and fixing bracket (B).
This appliance must be installed by a qualified person in a ccordance with the latest edition of the E.E. Regulations and in compliance with Baumatic’s instructions. Before con ecting the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage marked on the rating plate corresponds with your mains supply voltage.
This should be done before contacting the Baumatic Service Department. IMPORTANT: The appliance must NOT be connected to the mains supply by means of a 13A plug and socket.
* IMPORTANT: If the cooking zone does appear to be hotter than 60°C and the residual heat indicator has n ot come on, you should call the Baumatic Service Department. A humming sound is heard when a cooking zone is selected.

Baumatic appliance. * In addition, your appliance is covered by a 5 year parts warranty. Baumatic Ltd will provide free of charge the parts required to repair the appliance, only if they are fitted by a Baumatic engineer, for any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship within a period of 5 years from the original purchase date.
