    When you write on the writing pad, your handwriting converts to digital ink. “Digital inking” refers to the process of converting your handwriting to text. In the following picture of the writing pad, someone started writing Motion Computing and “Motion” has already been converted into digital ink.

    Tap the icons at the top of the input panel to view videos on making editing gestures. To hide the video tips, tap the icon on the right. By tapping the keyboard icon at the top of the pad, the input panel opens to the on-screen keyboard.

    After setting up an external monitor, touch might be disabled on your tablet because Windows 7 assumes that the external display is for touch input. You can enable touch on the correct display from the Motion Dashboard by following the procedure below. You’ll need a keyboard.

    Resetting the display after returning the tablet to the docking station If you set up your tablet in a docking station with the display theme expanded across both, and you remove the tablet temporarily from the docking station, the display theme may need to be reset when you return the tablet to the docking station.

RFID does not require direct contact or line-of-sight scanning, and can be scanned through many materials, including clothing.

If you want to install particular files, folders or other data, use Windows Backup. Creating a system image You can use a system image to restore the contents of your tablet if it ever stops working. A system image is an exact copy of a drive and includes Windows 7, your system settings, programs, and files.

    Disinfecting procedures You should periodically disinfect the tablet according to the institutional polices of surface and equipment safety and cleanliness. Motion has tested a variety of antimicrobial solvents and information on specific products is available upon request. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “items that do not ordinarily touch the patient or touch only intact skin are not involved in disease transmission, and generally do not necessitate disinfection between uses on different patients”.
