When inserting a rack, always check that the safety notches are at the rear of the oven. The rack can only be removed by raising it upwards and then pulling out.

Improper insertion of the probe could shut the oven off too early. When roasting poultry, the best place to insert the probe is in the thickest part of the bird between the thigh and body.
