Basic Navigation

The most frequently used function is the Address
Search, in which the address is specified and the
destination searched. This section describes how
to use the Address Search and the basics of
using the Navigation System.
Caution
For safety reasons, you cannot use these
functions while your car is in motion. Stop
and put the parking brake on before use.
Basic flow of operation

Press the NAVI MENU button to dis-
play the Main menu.

Select "Destination" from the Main
menu.

Select the method of searching for
your destination.

Enter the information about your des-
tination.

Your Navigation System sets the route
to your destination, and the map of
your surroundings appears.

Driving in accordance with the naviga-
tion information.

If the map is not displayed, press the dis-
play's NAVI MENU button to display the
main menu.

Touch "Search Area".
If the destination is in another country/area,
this changes the country/area setting.

Touch the area code of the destination
and touch "OK".
Modifies the country/area setting and returns
you to the Destination menu.

Touch "Address Search".
Selects the method for searching the destina-
tion.

Input the house number.
Touch the characters you wish to input.
"Zone Number" :
Specifies the area you wish to search (©
steps 2 and 3).
:
The input text is deleted letter by letter from
the end of the text. Continuing to press
deletes all of the text.
"Back" :
Returns you to previous screen.
Also input a prefix to the house number.
