    SECTION 3 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The 1st IF signal from the RF unit is applied to a 2nd mixer 3-1 RECEIVER CIRCUITS section of IC5001 (pin 16). The signal is then mixed with a 3-1-1 ANTENNA SWITCHING CIRCUIT (RF UNIT) 2nd LO signal for conversion to a 455 kHz 2nd IF signal. The antenna switching circuit functions as a low-pass fi...
  • Page 7 The ANL (Automatic Noise Limiter) circuit (D5003, Q5008, R5015–R5018) reduces pulse noises. The AM detector output signal (DETO) from Q5004 is 3-1-10 VOR CIRCUIT (LOGIC UNIT) [IC-A22/E only] applied to the cathode of D5003 passing through R5015 The VOR circuit detects a variable signal (VORC) and where it is divided by R5015 and R5016.

    The detected voltage is applied to one of the differential 3-2 TRANSMITTER CIRCUITS amplifier input (Q4010) and a power setting voltage is 3-2-1 MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT (MAIN UNIT) applied to the other input.
