• If possible, contact the recipient or sender of the message, and make sure the
receiving device can handle the type of file that is being sent.
• Make sure the PPP network connection has not been manually disabled. In the
web browser, go to Options. Click Connect to reestablish a network connection.
• If a text message arrives but does not display an alert, perform a soft reset
(see "Performing a soft reset" on page 156).
I can't make or receive calls using a hands-free device
with Bluetooth
®
Check all of the following:
• Ensure your Bluetooth device is compatible. Go to http://www.palmOne.com/
us/support/bluetooth/treo650_bluetooth_compatibility.html for a list of
compatible devices.
• The Bluetooth setting is turned on in the Bluetooth application.
• Your device with Bluetooth wireless technology is charged and turned on.
• Your Treo smartphone is within range (up to 30 feet) of the hands-free device.
• The Bluetooth application screen is closed.
• Refer to your hands-free device manual for pairing information. Each device
manufacturer includes instructions, such as pairing codes, specific to their
device.
I hear static or interference when using my hands-free device
Check all of the following:
• Your Treo smartphone is within range (up to 30 feet) of the hands-free device.
Audio quality will degrade as the distance between your smartphone and
hands-free device increases. Effective range varies between different devices
and manufacturers.
• Ensure no obstructions, including parts of your body, are between the smart-
phone and your hands-free device.
