SECTION 5—FRONT RIGGINGS
Installing/Removing/Adjusting the Telescoping Front
Frame Tubes
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.13 on page 39.
Installing/Removing Telescoping Front Frame Tubes
1. If necessary, remove the bilateral contracture platform from the wheelchair. Refer to
Bilateral Contracture Platform Procedures on page 35.
2. Insert one telescoping tube into seat rail.
3. Adjust to one of three depth positions.
4. Secure with mounting screw and locknut.
5. Repeat STEPS 2‐3 for opposite seat rail.
6. To remove, perform the following:
A. Remove the mounting screw and locknut that secures the telescoping tube to the
seat rail.
B. Remove the telescoping tube from the seat rail.
Adjusting Telescoping Front Frame Tubes
1. Remove the mounting screw and locknut that secures the telescoping tube to the seat
rail.
2. Adjust telescoping tube to desired depth.
3. Reinsert mounting screw and secure with locknut.
4. Repeat for opposite telescoping front frame tube.
