The switch and ports are displayed in different colors:
Color

Dark blue
Description
Displays the port status, the speed and
duplex settings, and spanning tree settings.
Adds the port to a VLAN.
Displays comprehensive performance, dis-
tribution and spanning tree details.
Displays, as a graph, the activity on the
port.
Provides details about the MAC and IP
addresses on the VLANs.
Provides RMON statistics for the selected
port.
Means
The switch is operational (the soft-
ware is loaded and running) and it
can be contacted by Intel Device
View via the network.
That switch is selected, and various
device-specific parameters can be
changed using the right-mouse but-
ton.
