Solving operating problems
Problem
Small amount
of frost on the
inside, bottom
left-hand side of
the compartment.
Water in the
storage bins.
Odour coming
from appliance.
If your appliance beeps for help and the service light (spanner) is flashing:
Turn your appliance off at the wall.

Wait 5 minutes and turn it back on.

Check your appliance is level and installed correctly (refer to installation

instructions).
If the fault re-occurs call your Fisher & Paykel Dealer

If problems persist, please contact your local Fisher & Paykel Appliances Authorised Service Centre
Dealer or Customer Care Centre.
Possible causes
Condensation is formed from
the water vapour produced by
fruit and vegetables.
Initial 'new' smell from
manufacturing.
Strong smelling food that have
not been covered or contained.
Expired food.
Spills.
Before you call for service
What to do
This is normal.
A small amount of condensation is
beneficial for fruit and vegetable storage.
If there is too much water, set humidity
control button to fruit
fruit and vegetables loosely wrapped in
plastic bags.
Wipe out water with a cloth.
This is normal and will disappear once the
drawer is in operation.
Cover all strong smelling and odorous
foods carefully with food wrap or place
food into sealed containers.
Wipe drawer out with a mix of water and
vanilla essence to reduce residual odour.
Clear out old food from the drawer. If in
doubt, throw it out.
Clean up all spills as soon as they occur.
Clean drawer with a mix of warm water
and liquid dishwashing detergent.
If a spill has escaped from large bottom
tray and into the drawer, mop up as much
of the spill as you can. If odour persists call
an authorised service agent.
