    Hearth Requirements INSTALLATION General Hearth Considerations WARNING SAFETY WARNING! The Ventana is a very effective radiant heater. The hearth/fl oor in front of the heater can get very hot (in excess of 200ºF). Locating the unit raised above the hearth/fl oor or adding one of the optional screen fronts or a generic freestanding screen in front of the unit can greatly reduce hearth temperatures.
