Using Lorex Viewer
Watermarking Video Images
To ensure video images have not been
tampered with, Lorex Viewer comes bundled
with a watermarking software called
Watermark Proofer. The watermark function
allows you to take an image of a single frame
screen shot, and verify that the screen shot has
not been tampered with.
Watermarking Video Images
To watermark a single frame of a video image:
1. Open Lorex Viewer

2. Click
(backup). The backup window
opens.
3. Under Select Image, click

4. Browse for the directory you wish to save
your picture in. Click
Viewing Watermarked Images
To view your watermarked video image:
1. Select

Programs
Lorex_V2

proofer
to start the watermarking
program.
2. Click
and browse for the
Open
watermarked bitmap (.bmp) file you saved
with Lorex Viewer.
3. The image opens with either a pass or fail.
An image with a waterproof mark that has
NOT been tampered with has a large green
circle on the picture (Figure 3.5). An image
with a waterproof mark that HAS been
tampered has a large red 'X' on the picture
(Figure 3.6).
